11th Annual Holiday Housewalk and introducing The Market!
Friday and Saturday,
December 4 and 5, 2009
We are delighted to announce that this year’s Holiday Housewalk & Market were a resounding success and drew 1500 people to the village of Oak Park to tour our featured homes, shop our fabulous Market at the Nineteenth Century Club and dine in the 10 featured dine and share restaurants. We want to thank the Downtown Oak Park Association and the Oak Park Area Convention & Visitors Bureau for working with us to promote our event and our media sponsors: the Wednesday Journal, Oak Leaves & Forest Leaves, and West Suburban Living Magazine.
To our volunteers, we are honored and proud to have worked alongside such terrific women. To those who worked closely with us in re-designing the 11th Annual Holiday Housewalk into a 2 day event, our special thanks for believing we could expand this fundraiser. First and foremost we raised a record breaking amount for this event and also raised awareness about The Children’s Clinic in bringing many new people from the city and outlying suburbs to Oak Park and River Forest.
We invite you to view a few pictures from this year’s event and hope we will see you next December as we have already begun planning for another fun and festive housewalk and shopping experience. The artisan vendors that participated have already deemed the Holiday Market a place they want to come back to in 2010 – they loved Oak Park! Remember this event takes place the first weekend in December so spread the word and put us on your calendar.
